In this training module, we’ll explore Omnia’s Spray Module.
We’ll start out with the basics – creating a spray plan. From there, we can start to think about the management of these plans, as well as some of the more advanced ways we can utilise the module, including templates, split plans and custom product creation.
We hope you find it useful – here we go…
Let’s get straight into it. Watch the video below to learn how to create a Spray Plan.
A Spray Plan creation module can only ever be as good as the audit system that supports it – so let’s take some time to discuss how this works for Omnia.
Omnia is built on the HALO database and audit system.
Watch the next video to get a feel for this industry leading audit system.
“HALO receives daily updates from FERA and is managed by technical agronomy specialists, which helps growers to ensure that they have the most up-to-date pesticide approvals and EAMUs available when making spray plans. The system can also check whether application meets any growth stage requirements for a particular crop, the number of applications that are allowed of a particular active and provides data for Local Environmental Risk Assessments for Pesticides (LERAP). Any non-compliance issues are immediately flagged.”
Lewis McKerrow, Head of Digital Agronomy, Hutchinsons
Another quality of life feature that the module brings is automatic tank mix sequencing.
As you add products to your spray plan, Omnia will determine the appropriate order these need adding to the tank, and adjust the ordering of products accordingly.
Of course, you turn this off if you wish. Just look for the checkbox called ‘Auto sort products‘.
So we’ve taken a look at how to create plans, and the audit system that checks our work before we publish.
But once a plan is published, what if we want to make changes?
The next video takes a look at how to organise your plans once created, and what to do if you want to make edits.
That’s it for this section.

In the next section, we’ll get into some of the more advanced functionality on offer within the Spray Module.
