Omnia for Farm Management and Administration: Records in Omnia

Record Creation

As discussed in the previous section – whilst creation of Tasks is an important step – as far as Omnia is concerned, nothing has actually happened on farm until a Record has been created.

So, let’s get into the next video – where we learn how to complete a Task/create a Record in the Field Diary module.

Field Diary in Action

Let’s just take a moment to reflect on the Field Diary module in general.

Effective use of this module really is what makes Omnia ‘tick’.

It’s a melting pot of activity – on larger Holdings we could have Agronomists creating Plans, picked up by Farm Managers and converted into Tasks, in turn completed by Operators to form Records.  It’s by far the most collaborative module in the platform.

As a result, it’s so important that each colleague attached to the Holding understands their role within the broader system.

In the next video, taken from our Connected Farming Broadcast – Adam and Lewis act out this collaborative approach, which should serve as a nice recap of everything we’ve covered on Task Management.

Summary: Record Creation

Thanks for taking the time to learn about Records in Omnia.

You should now feel a level of confidence to start using Task Management within Omnia.

Great job!
